I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career.  I've lost almost 300 games.  26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.  I've failed over and over and over again in my life.  And that is why I succeed.     --Michael Jordan

“When I say be creative I don't mean that you should all go and become great painters and great poets. I simply mean let your life be a painting, let your life be a poem.” - Osho

The Reason Why People Do Amazing Sh*t

It went off like a trigger: people do amazing things because they BELIEVE they can.  How else could these people put themselves in that position?  You cannot stumble upon achievement, you must be working on your passion everyday and believe you are on to something.

What do you believe in?  What do you see yourself doing?  What do you KNOW you can and WILL do?  Do that.  Go.  Don't even think about stopping.  And when you do think about stopping (which is pretty inevitable), keep going.

Whatever it is it doesn't even matter and maybe you don't even know yet.  Bend a little and stretch; breathe a little and release; start a little and build.  The idea will surface.  What is important is that you trust it when it does.

And when you do know...

Sacrifice.  Go broke.  Sleep in a van if you have to, but don't ever lose your vision.  The universe is telling you that you can and you believe that.  You feel it in your body.  What other choice do you have other than to do it?

Simplifying Our Belief

"This is my simple religion.  There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy.  Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness" - Dalai Lama

Today's Short Story: Castles In The Sand

Castles in the Sand

Some children were playing beside a river and they all made castles of sand, and each child defended his castle and said, "This one is mine!" They kept their castles separate and would not allow any mistakes about which was whose. When the castles were all finished, one child kicked over someone else's castle and completely destroyed it. The owner of the castle flew into a rage, pulled the other child's hair, struck him with his fist and bawled out, "'He has ruined my castle! Come along all of you and help me punish him as he deserves!" The others all came to his help. They beat the child and then they went on playing in their sand castles, each saying, "This is mine; no one else may have it. Keep away! Don't touch my castle!"

But evening came, it was getting dark and they all thought they ought to be going home. No one now cared what became of his castle. One child stamped on his, another pushed his over with both hands. Then they turned away and each of them went back home to get ready for bed.
